Speech title: Hydrogen production through catalytic reforming of biomass-derived liquids
Abstract: Nickel based monometallic and bimetallic (Pd Ni, Pt Ni, Rh Ni) catalysts were prepared using different support modifications (La2O3 or CeO2). Then, catalysts were used in Steam Reforming (SR) of pine sawdust bio oil at atmospheric pressure, 800 ºC and Steam to carbon (S/C) ratio of 5.0. Most of the catalysts were deactivated within 3 hours of experiment. However, Rh Ni/CeO2 Al2O3 catalyst was stable during the experiment, maintaining a constant 60 % hydrogen yield.
