As a kind of renewable energy, wind energy has huge reserves and world-wide distribution. Efficient wind energy utilization has becomes a hot topic in field of energy use. Since there are multiple complicated subsystems, wind power conversion systems and the coupling effects gradually became a new research hotspot. Because of the complex working conditions, the efficiency of wind power systems are susceptible to the performance of wind turbines and other subsystems, such as power-generation system, battery energy storage system, etc., especially to the system coupling effect of multiple energy field conversion. Wind power researches face huge challenges for system performance and integral coupling optimal design and analysis. This session will focus on the continuous progress and practical applications in wind energy utilization, such as structure improvement, theoretical analysis, performance optimization, multiple field coupling system, computer simulation, reserve estimates, policy research, etc.
Session Topics include but are not limited to:
• Wind power applications techniques
• Structure design and improvement.
• Theories and methodologies of wind energy systems
• System analysis of multiple energy field coupling systems
• Battery energy storage system
• Control strategy of multi-field coupling system
• Generator design and optimization techniques
• Modelling and control of energy conversion systems
• Research on energy conversion system efficiency and optimization
• Research on energy-saving technology
• Power system and transmission system
• Power system coupling
